Stok Kangri Expedition is one of the most famous trekking peak in the Indian Himalayas. This peak “Stok Kangri” is easy to climb from the northern side as the slope from this side gentle. The shortest time required to climb Stok Kangri is 4 to 5 days.  It is not a difficult climb, you don’t requires advanced mountaineering equipment. Although one should have enough experience of mountaineering and should spend some time in Leh to acclimatise before Climbing Stok Kangri.

Arrive Leh

You will be received on arrival and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you proceed on a half-day city tour.

Drive to Rumtse (4095m) 76 Kms / 2 hrs.
After breakfast we drive to Rumtse from the Hotel you are staying at.  We will drive for 70 Kms on Leh Manali highway. On our way we will visit Thiksey and Hemis monasteries. Overnight stay in a camp at Rumtse. 

Rumtse to Kyamar (4383m) 4-5 hrs.
Today after breakfast we start to trek into the beautiful valley passing some army huts.  Overnight stay at a camp in Kyamar.

Kyamar to Tisaling (4800m) via Kyumur La (4870m) and Mandalchan La (4996m) 5-6 hrs.
After breakfast we start our trek. As we trek after few minutes walk the trail divides into two. The Left trail will take you to Tsokar lake and the right trail will takes you to Tsomoriri. We will cross a stream with pass to climb.  Overnight stay in Camp at Tisaling.

Tisaling to Pangunagu (Tsokar) (4398m) via Shingbuk La (5016m) 5-6 hrs

Today’s trek will be an easy one a gradual and easy ascend. On our ascend we will see many wild Asses (skyang) around this area. On reaching Pangunagu we set up our tents. Overnight stay in camp at Pangunagu.

Pangunagu to Nuruchan (4500m) 4-5 hrs.
Today’s trek is an easy walk along the Tsokar Lake. After 2 hours walk on a distance you will start to see agricultural land. For the night we will canp by the fields and stream.

Nuruchan to Rachungkaru (4668m) via Horlam Kongka La (4712m) 3-4 hrs.
Today we will do a short trek. As we trek we will go through a gradual ascend to Horlam kongka-la (which is 4712m above see level). Then we slowly descend till the stream where we will camp for the night. Overnight stay at camp in Rachungkaru .

Rachungkaru to Gyamalhoma (4895m) 6-7 hrs.
After breakfast we Start climbing Kyamayur La (5125m above see level) which will takes us around 2 hrs. After the pass the trail will lead us towards a valley from here the trail starts ascend for another small pass called Gyama La (5100m). From here you can enjoy the view of different mountain peaks.

Gyama lhoma to Korzok  (Tsomoriri Lake)
Today we start with an easy ascent towards the Korzok pass. It will takes us around 2 hrs to reach the top. From where we walk down to the Korzok village.  Overnight stay in Korzok

Drive from Tsomoriri to Leh (240 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast we take you for a walk around the Lake and drive back to Leh.
